Asian Cup will start tomorrow (Saturday). We do not want a Tsunami here in our Forum, so we will have a Thread for every Asian Cup Group. Everything you want to discussion, do it in the thread, where you should do, and where the information and discussion belongs to.
I think a lot of you are PRO this.

This Qatar team will leave its mark on this tournament..this is 80 percent of thier Doha team that won the asian games last year pretty easily, so I would give the second spot to Qatar here, too bad for them, they will have to face Australia in the quarters, most likely.

Now, this is a tough group in my opinion. Vietnam is probably one of the better teams among the host nations. They have shown recently that they are no walk over. Qatar and UAE can cause Japan some problems. I say this group is wide open with Japan having the edge over the rest.

I think Vietnam is the strongest followed by Thailand, from the hosters. and despite the fact, that Vietnam has it also the easiest i think, to qualify from all hosts, i think, they will become second. The had also good games and results in their test-matches.

I dont agree, Qatar is probably the worst team in west asian in this tournament, they have no clue, the only way for them to the 2nd round is to beat the UAE and that looks very hard, for me i think they'll score goals but they'll let in more.
this will be group standing:
1- Japan (9 or 7 points)
2- UAE (4-5-6 points)
3- Qatar (1-2-3 points)
4- Vietnam will probably get a point of Qatar only.

Vietnam and UAE will be a good match to watch. Although UAE is a better team, it's very difficult to beat Vietnam in their home stadium. Vietnam's just qualified to second round in Olympic 2008 to China and their test match results were surprising.
