Well, the story of the Greek league is a bit complicated .

The president of Olympiakοs, Socrates Kokkalis is one of the worst mafiozos of Europe. Owner of many companies, (was the one responsible for the scandal of the Greek goverment's phones tapping-former agent of German stazi with the nickname Crocus). He owns an organisation called "The hut" which is responsible for paying the referees and fixing the games. It is called like that because the members of the "organisation" were meeting with the referees at a hut in Piraeus to fix the matches. The clubs the hut supports are Olympiakοs and Egaleo. Most of the championships Olympiakοs won the last 10 years were given to them by the hut. If you just watch the Panathinaikοs-Olympiakοs derbies of the last year you will understand what I mean with the referees. Even many Olympiakοs fans admit that - the biggest proof is the humiliation Olympiakοs gets every Europe in CL even if they are first in Greece. All these events about the hut became known in Greece about 5 years ago, a journalist of TV showed also some audio recordings of the conversations between referees and the hut members but the always corrupted Greek state doesn't want to do something. Kokkalis is one of the richest Greeks.

What I want to say is that I don't care about the Greek league, you are right that PANATHINAIKΟS is by far the best team of Greece, but what I want is European sucess... Like the one we had in the past when Olympia*** was humiliated by teams like Molde, Herenveen, Lille and some Maccabi Jewish team .
