Joke of the year dude. Are you kidding me Italia played the most boring defense and counter attack style football. Now if you call that style of football attractive tha'ts your prefrence. I personally define attractive football as playing a true attack style like Brazil. Of course they played like crap in this WC so it didn't work out for them.

1-Sore the first goal
2-After you score the first goal play anti football and stick 9 in a box and hope your defense will shut the other team out.

that style of italian football is dead its true they used to defend.. why cuz we are the masters of defence then and still our.. our style now has chnaged.. in the world cup they didnt sit back and defence just once against aussie when they were down to 10 men which every other country in the world would have done as well// they had the lead against ghana 1-0! what was final score 2-0.. same against check .. ukraine we won them 3-0 we didnt sit back at 1-0 germany we attacked the hole game and wen it was 1-0 in et we still went for the 2-0 which supprised me cuz if it was me in et and was 1-0 up id say DEFEND THE LEAD but they still got another 1.. just show me a moment in the wc which they decided to defend the lead

let me give you a scenario:

you are a fan of XXX. your team goes to a cup. plays 2 wonderful games and loses 1-0 in both. Wins the last game but fails to advance. What do you feel? Proud? How many times you go back to watch those games? ZERO!

but,

you are a fan of YYY. your team wins the first two matches 2-0, ties the last one 1-1. goes to 1/4 final and wins 1-0. then goes to 1/2 final and wins 2-1. and in the final they win 1-0. in the whole tournament they play an okay football. what do you feel? proud? how many times will you watch the games or goals? Several times.

As a fan of those teams, you get more entertained watching the highlights of a win several times. As a fan of a team, you never wanna watch a game which your team dominated but lost!

If football wanst meant to be entertaining would there be players like; kaka, ronaldinho, messi, MARADONNA? They get that much respect because they play beautifull football, think about it. Why do you think holland gets that much respect in the world although they havent won anything? Its because of their playing style, 4-3-3 with worldclass wingers. Holland introduced total-football and the game owes them A LOT.

Firstly, i urge you to watch Sepak Takra instead of football, if you wanna watch loads of bicycle kicks and fancy movements!

Sorry, but me and you are in a different boat. I watch football for the excitement it gives me. You watch football to be entertained. I watch football of my team to get excited, enjoy of the goals for several times, and get happy if my team wins. You obviously watch it to spend a good time, then forget it and look forward to see another show. am I right?

I collect Italy and Milan's games, goals, pictures. I wear their jerseys. I like the excitement. I feel proud of seeing my team beating a high profile team like ManU 3-0 and I enjoy watching the goals several times. I get the same feeling and excitement when I re-watch them. That's the passion.

I know many people that look at football as a show. They just watch the whole 90 minutes to see one dribble from a certain player! and they forget it as it never happend! Just like when they watch a movie.

For me football is a passion. and this passion is only towards the teams I support. I don't waste my time watching other teams. I barely have time to watch Milan and Italy, let alone watching crappy Mexico league! (like what Land of Samba does!) Viva's right! At a WC, or other great tournaments it's all about winning!! Play nic football all you want in friendlies.

You wanna say you'd rather see Iran eliminated in the QF of the AC, while having played "nice" football, than seeing them take the tropphy home with a little less "attractive" football?!

You think people care about the way Iran played more than 30 years ago when they won the AC 3 times in a row? No!

Another example: AZ played the most entertaining football in Holland, perhaps even Europe! What did they get at the end? Nothing! Who took the cup home? PSV did. Yes people still praise AZ for their type of football, but what have they gained? They lost the title, lost in the cup final and perhaps won't even qualify for the CL, while PSV is already qualified and is bringing home the millions of cash (which means new purchases for the new season, which will make their fans happy).

The deal with Holland is that they're always trying to play attractive football, but they never do! I can't even remember the last time they played nice football (and I've seen all their matches in the last 10 years). Above that, they always return back home from big tournaments empty handed.

I enjoyed watching Italy much more than I did watching Holland lately.They totally owned Holland in Amsterdam in a friendly before the WC,and they played much nicer than Holland did.

Italy is the better team, but Holland is more entertaining to watch, although the attractive play of the Dutch team has been decreased a lot since Van Basten took it over. He was a great player but its crazy to appoint someone as the coach of the NT who has only one season of youth club level coaching experience..

Btw, Ali jaan, with what you're saying, shouldn't you be supporting Qn at this moment? He brings results Not saying that TM isn't playing attractive football tho. We're playing much nicer and more fluently than we did under Branco imo, even with many new players who're not even familiar with eachother.

When Esteghlal was bringing results, without playing nice football, they jumped on us saying SS sucks blah blah and PP plays nice football, even tho at one point we were above PP with more than 10 points.

Then all of a sudden the Perspolisis didn't care about winning the title, and acted like playing "attractive" football is the most important thing in football, even when their team got scored on against 3-4 times in a game because it was unbalanced like hell.
