A Nikbakht style slide on the ground would've done the job. I can't think of much else that would've worked though - backing off would mean that he wouldn't get dribbled, but it would leave the other guy space to shoot. But I mean, a different defender could've taken care of that situation - eg a top class Iranian defender/player that spends his whole upbringing in a league where everyone dribbles you all the timeOriginally posted by Amin_Almost impossible to defend.
I swear IPL players are dribble-stopping proffessors!
Anyways, like many have already said, that guy got p00ned! lol

Yes it is! If you give such a player that much space, it's almost impossible to handle at the exact right time to get the ball without making a faul in the box.Originally posted by miladnot at all.
Mancini was already at speed with lots of space, that's when you're quite chanceless against such a techniqual player.
Same as giving that much space to Ronaldo and let him storm at you 1 on 1...9 of the 10 times he'll be able to get pass you.
Of course he's defendable, but you should't give him the space in first place and stick by him all the time. That's when he'll be chanceless.Persian Pride running through my veins!
Esteghlal for life!!
