Van Persie's strike was a far more difficult skill. I'm not taking anything away from Alonso's goal but the volley was more impressive.

Although i think Alonso's goal was special, i stil fell the technique used for Van Persies finish makes it the better goal.

It wasnt about a keeper being well off his line and taking advantage, it was about a player who beat the keeper by pure brilliance.
