I can think of several things Mtarazzi could have said that would ahve justified zidanes actions. Certain comments are bigger than football. Lets wait and see.

Come on man cheat? did you watch the game??? it was all fair and square, we are talking about THIS game not what 'they are known for' or what 'Italians typicall do' etc...seriously you cant take anything away from this victory and it had nothing to do with politics face it. when im the captain of my team in a WC final match w/ 10min left in overtime in a match that could go either way which is my final game....i may consider jus smiling and kissing their ass, total loss of concentration, i dont care if u talk about my mama, dad, family, me, wuteva, in the situation he was in zidane shouldve responded better, especially considering the experience and all that zidane has w/ all this

I'm not gona defend what Zidane did here, but lets not forget the Italians way of playing. May I remind you the elbow to the face of McBride in the Italy vs US which was obviously intentional and drew blood.

i dont like italy because they are corrupt and cheaters and dirty. but they were one of the best team in this WC and got the lucky win. they did get lucky because the only decent challenges they faced was in their last 2 games against germany (last minute extra-time win) and france (penalty win). but unfortunately games are decided on luck and its luck that determines who you play and its luck+the necessary level of skill that makes you win.
