What's appealing about the Iran job? An organized FA? Legionnaires tearing Europe up? A strong domestic league? Modern stadiums?

Even if we say he knows the players...most of the ones he relied upon have aged, are injured, or are warming the bench for most part in Europe. Yes seems like a dream job for an established coach who really values his reputation and track record...(see his comments on EFA trying to ruin his rep).
