His comments were good and right; but I guess the part that is making people angry is: it's OK if normal Iranians are being killed and beaten but when people are defending themselves from basijis/IR thugs - the "oh, no violence" crowd all of a sudden shows up.

A lot of IR supporters ascribe the to top. Saman of course was making a general comment, but TM is widely considered IR's team now and anything they say will be used against them.

They have to weather the storm, hopefully opinion changes.

And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Agreed. Some iranians on social media (especially on insta and twitter) have decided that they hate TM players because they have not supported the protests up to their standards; the problem is that their standards seems to change all the time - a perfect example being the reaction to ghoddos comments.

I really still have high hopes for Saman. I hope he can get into a club with a regular starting role & we utlize him in Team Melli more. He reminds me of a younger Dejagah. He has a lot of confidence, calm ball control, and the audacity to take long range shots. I think he is the missing link between our defense and the forwards. He could really help fill the middle of the pitch and help with transitioning defense to attack

Hwang sat on the bench for Korea’s first two games. Finally got 20 minutes and scored maybe one of the most important goals ever for his country. That is called professional, herfei.

Herfei isn’t someone who had opportunity to move to another league and get in shape for a World Cup but decided to sit on bench and collect paycheck. Not someone who when he doesn’t play in WCQ, posts dumb instagram story, and when he finally gets a start, is so bad he has to be subbed off at halftime.

So most of the subs who are brought in and don't score are not professionals?

Herfei... professional means someone who is doing something as a mainstay of their livelihood/ income.

People are killing themselves to get into EPL and you are criticizing our one EPL player because he is often benched?

Anyone who chooses to go to a lower league with less money should have their heads examined!

Saman tried to play in Spain, ended up in France, and had his career nearly entirely derailed . He worked himself up from English 2nd tier to EPL and now should leave because you don't like his performance?

CQ played Ghoddos on the wing against USA, which was a big mistake, and a waste. He is no longer a winger. He’s needs to plays more central.

He’s the ONE player that I don’t think CQ nor Skocic brought the best out of..

He initially played more under Skocic, but then got benched for no reason.

No, not now. Its too late now. The time to move was before the WC so that he could be in a better condition to help his team. Wasn’t there talk of Malmo loan/transfer? Was Queiroz (or even Skocic) supposed to start a player with 30 league minutes? Was he expecting to start? Is he disappointed that he didn’t play more? Of course he will miss chances and give the ball away and look slow… And what a chance he missed…..

Ah yes, fans like this make me happy I don't have to visit the forums much now that we're not in the world cup anymore, clueless people who criticize as if they're a football genius themselves 😂

He has no business playing in mickey mouse allsvenskan, loool. At least if he wants to play at that level, he can go to persian gulf leagues and collect fat paychecks.

Other players missed chances too. At least the game against US got better with Saman coming in.

Same ozgals on twitter think turning iran into a new syria is a good option. The have watched too many movies.

Saman was raised in a deepened democratic country and resonate as a democrat. Either these twitter-mongrels dont understand how democracy works or they are just vile dictators in the making.

He never made such comments, I am saying some will interpret his comments as such (that self-defense is not allowed, which is ridiculous). Saman's comments were fine.
