Frank Mind on saman:

1.) Start with physical big players . Put saman on bench.

2.) Are we goal down until 60th minute? No ! Saman stay on the bench

3.) Do we need to score goals (60th minute+)? Yes ! Okay slowly bring saman in, in about 10 minutes time so he gets solid 20-30 minutes.

And thats the only way saman gets playing time.

Investing in Iranian players is a risk for these teams. We don’t have many players who have succeeded in top flight leagues for many years, so there’s a very short leash for our guys. 4 or 5 bad games early on with a new team = banished to the bench. If they are English, they can coast on their compatriots successes. Even countries in Africa have their Star players in mind when some players from Ghana, Ivory Coast etc. don’t succeed in bigger teams. They’re given a lot of leeway in the hopes that they’ll develop into a Drogba, we have no reference point like that in recent memory. 5 games is the most you’ll get in a decent European team as an Iranian. After that you’re bench fodder.
