Asking for Taremi out removes our current state of the team of being at like a 7/10 skill/talent wise to a 5/10. It's crazy to suggest. This is not like getting rid of Aghili king of sootis or Rahmati who couldn't make a decision on how to come out on freekicks. He's irreplaceable. Back with Rahmati and Aghili, CQ took decent risk, but Sadeghi and Ahmadi came in and did the job better than both Aghili and Rahmati lol

Aghili yes. But GK is the most unique position. Rahmati was both the best GK in Iran and also had the most international experience.

Just because Ahmadi was able to do a decent job in a few games doesn't mean that he was better or would do a better job in the long term.

Taremi is our best player and probably our best player ever. A very low intelligence person but best player. But how this discord between him and Skocic plays out will have repercussions for Iranian football far beyond WC2022.

Let me give a scenario....we play England and lose badly. Now Taremi could well say to Skocic...you don't know what your doing and we won't listen to you. What then? Team will implode before or during our second game. Open rebellion.

Skocic and IFF man management suck hugely. Especially IFF. Any one who knows Iranians knows that they don't respect anyone they feel is inferior or toosary nemizaneh. One or two losses and they turn against you. Why did they keep Skocic after qualifying? And why did they persist on Skocic when the team broke up ?


Now we may be stuck with Skocic. In my experience, the only way we can have a team is to bitch slap Taremi. Two third of the posters here think appeasement works. I hope they are right.

Fair argument and thanks for your post

Although with Ahmadi, he wasn't just good in those three games, he was magnificent. So good, that I think if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have qualified. His double save in the dying embers of the South Korea game in Seoul got us to the World Cup. He also had solid international ACL experience too with Sepahan. Rahmati had some very good performances (against SK and Uzbekistan in particular) but him being pooroo on top of being replaceable got him kicked. The difference is Taremi is not replaceable.

Skocic is not more important than Taremi right now. During qualification it was a different situation because Skocic was in a good position and had the team's respect- all that has eroded now. As for your England scenario: hopefully after Aug 30th he will be replaced. If he's not replaced by then, I'll support him full stop for the success of TM.

Taremi dient score against Spain or Portugal and I think he won't perform against England, Wales or USA. And most important he's def not our best player ever. He had one very good season, but Jahanbakhsh had it too or Hashemian. Players like Mahdavikia or Nekounam performed over a longer period

Changing the Coach would be the best option.
Bringing in CQ would Taremi make stfu and we would have the best possible coach.

Staying with Skocic he needs to put some respect to his name and make Taremi apologize or drop him
