Özil was a great player in his prime, one of the best ever and his stats were insane. He was crucial for Germanys World Cup win in 2014. The Nazi Germans showed their true face when they bullied him out of the National Team later on. Saw the links to RC Lens. Would be amazing. They're a solid side and have had a good year in Ligue 1.

Any midtable+ side in top 5 league where he has a good chance of consistent minutes would be great next step for him.
His agent handled the situation quite well after trabzonspor, found him a solid club in turkey as guaranteed starter with coach who rated him. Two full seasons as starter under his belt, plus solid performance in WC (last 2 games), and we are talking about 4th place in france.
Only 26, great age for CB.
