honestly with latest shit going on at milan not sure how good it is for taremi to end up there

many fans are distancing themselves from the club...

New asshole american owner fired maldini after his excellent work, forced tonali, the future captain out the door (the kid was apparently in tears when they told him he was going to newcastle for 80 mil to help them financially), and are missing out on other top targets.

Overall seems like a bit of a sinking ship, not to dissimilar to porto besides obvious league upgrade.

Taremi's agent clarifies Mehdi's position on Saudi interest.

At a time when there is talk of a supposed proposal of 35 million euros from Al Hilal to take Medhi Taremi from Estádio do Dragão, Ali Reza Nikoomanesh, agent of the Iranian, went public to confirm the interest of Saudi emblems, but cooled the possibility of departure of the FC Porto player.

Despite the interest of teams from Saudi Arabia, Mehdi wants to continue in European football. He only has one more year left on his contract, but the plan is to stay at FC Porto and in Europe. That's what he wants», admitted the businessman, in 365scorearabic statements . Persistently pointed to an exit, Taremi still has AC Milan keeping an eye on his situation. With another year on his contract, the Iranian striker has already played 147 games , 80 goals and 40 assists, in three seasons with a dragon on his chest.

Clear he isn't interested in saudi move. This guy continues to impress.

As for the comment about staying at Porto, no need to burn bridges before anything official happens. But if he doesnt extend his deal and tries to run down the last year of his contract it is fairly certain they would prefer cashing in for 15ish mio given their financial problems.

I don't see any top euro club offering real offer for him. Al hilal is really possibility with neves and marega there

On the other hand, he might think that he can always move to Saudi/Qatar league when he's 32-33, of course not same money but still he would make good there so he might choose to continue in Europe another 2-3 seasons and finish his carrier there and secure the future from a financial point of view.

Mature and smart, whatever is happening behind the scenes, in public he is being graceful and saying he is happy to stay at Porto and see his contract - looks good to fans too.
If he does leave now then the onus is on Porto.

these filthy rich bastards aint giving it up either..!!

like i said b4, no doubt Porto front office are probably nudging him towards the saudi deal too..!! or at best an Extension with the club..!!

the later it gets into the window with no solid EU alternative offering closer to 20mil transfer fee and the more lucrative ayrabs make their future bids for his capture to the porto and mehdi, the greater chances that he finally gives in to the Ayrab Temptation$$$..!

"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Marseille would be a downgrade from Porto

only worth leaving Porto for a legit major club in a top 4 league

From what I can infer about Mehdi’s feelings about Porto based on his interviews, is that he loves Porto and the Porto fans. It’ll be very hard and bittersweet to leave this place and fans, but as the saying goes, “all good things…”

that's true... theyre not even guaranteed UCL spot yet ..which is something already at hand for him at Porto..!

however they've been in hot pursuit of our boys of late which is quiet admiring of them..!
and they have a rich footballing history , loud and proud and well engaged fan base which is always a plus in my book, although that could cut both ways for our boys depending how they perform ..!!
the league is a slight upgrade over liga nos but not really worth consideration unless they can put extra $ugar on their offerings to Porto and mehdi..!
