Game ultimately boiled down to the officiating decisions but if pepe had put away that tap in, made it 2-0 early on, this game would've been done and dusted. So painful to watch this thing, Gil Vicente absolutely did not deserve even a point in this game considering how 9 man Porto still was way more dangerous.

Today's game didnt help them much on that front.... they spent a ton of energy and effort as a team and got nothing for it ..!
but lucky for them the vital return match is still way's time from now and more importantly at home..!!
they still have a great shot at upsetting Inter at home and move to next round..!!
badly need someone step in and up big time in MF for the suspended octavio for that to happen...!!

Just saw the replay of the Joao Mario play and it's a red card for me. He clearly moved his arm towards the ball as he was falling. Intentional handball to deny a goal scoring opportunity is straight red every day of the week.

In that same run there was a previous incident where he was clipped but stayed on his feet on both occasions. I know there is conversation about him ‘not staying on his feet’ but in this instance he had two opportunities where he could have gone down.
This is a good example of why players make the most of a touch in a box cos if you don’t go down then you don’t get the foul/penalty.
