If they sell the rest of the team (Diaz, otavio, vitinha, etc...), Taremi will have hard time make them win the league, cups and CL matches..

I think they cashed out on their "golden geese" with Diaz, Vitinha, etc. They got a high enough price for them that they were okay risking a year or two of possible lag in trophies. Taremi also has a price that Porto will sell him for, but no teams have offered that. Having said that, letting Taremi go at 20M will definitely jeopardize their hardware chances. Minus the Rio fiasco, they are certainly looking like the team to beat for the Liga Nos trophy.

Every 6 months, they recruits half of brazil + south american prospects. They should find taremi replacement quite easily

Agree that they are a Brazil/Columbia/etc conduit into Europe. Replacing Taremi is not easy though, or else they would have let him go for 20M already. I think their execs/accountants are quite shrewd. At this point, they're playing hardball with Taremi's other suitors.

mehdi too stands to get a decent portion of his possible transfer fee outa Porto prior to end of his contract, hence less money for the club from his sale, hence less incentive to ship him off for a fair price..!!

his playing value to Porto is simply above the likely figure$ they are likely to bank from his transfer... hence likely they will keep him likely till the end of his contract and possibly even extend it if still performing at top levels in a year or 2..!

Worst move for taremi is to join a premier league team. Serie A , Bundes liga and la liga all perfect for him but premier league is a big no no for him.
