toni is greedy mofo ... much prefered evanilson as partner for mehdi.... he works and hustle much harder off the ball sorta similar to Mehdi and much more apt to return the big favors mehdi provides him in and around the box..!!Originally posted by diz View PostToni + Taremi starting up front = T2
T-Mart is best as a 2nd half sub ... especially when you wanna pepper the opponents box with high balls ... he is certainly a better header of the ball than mehdi and evanilson ..!! him and galeno are too khoreh and way too eager to get on scoresheet ....similar to how LD used to be ..!

they barely managed to win 1-0
jao mario scored the winner...!
Mehdi played hard but was marked up tight and only afforded a few half chances here n there... was subbed out with 5 min to go..! tough outing for porto but an important win..!!
this year Porto seem to be struggling a lot in a more advanced MF area ... just can't dictate possession and serve their frontline with decent and consistent service like last season..!

Taremi's goals are the cheapest in the Champions League
Conclusion drawn from a study released by "Sambafoot", known for awarding the "Samba d"ouro" prize.
Saying that Taremi's goals are the cheapest in the Champions League may seem strange at first sight, but that is the conclusion drawn from a study released by "Sambafoot", known for awarding the "Samba d"ouro" prize, which distinguishes the best Brazilian player to play in Europe.
In a sample that included footballers who scored four or more times in the competition this season, the association calculated the ratio between Mehdi's five goals and an annual salary that is, according to the study, around 1.72 M€, which amounts to a cost of 344 thousand euros per goal. In comparative terms, a goal by Mbappé (PSG), the leader of the ranking, is valued at almost €13m.

Mehdi Taremi becomes the first Iranian ever to feature in the Guardian Top 100
Lionel Messi has been voted the best player in the world in 2022 by our 206-strong panel, with Kylian Mbappé finishing second
He is at 78:
The Iran striker carried his astonishing form for Porto that saw him score 20 goals and provide 12 assists as he won his first league title in Portugal into the World Cup with two goals against England. A powerful presence with a knack for scoring spectacular goals such as the brilliant bicycle kick against Chelsea in April 2021 that was nominated for the Puskas Award, Taremi was first spotted playing for Iran's national students' team but is now on the radar of some of Europe’s biggest clubs despite being 30. The first Iranian player to make the top 100. Ed Aarons
