Benefica fans already crying and calling him a diver. Probably working on the refs to not give him penalties again.

Taremi and the test with Monaco: "It was a great game for the team"

Taremi's statements to Porto Canal after FC Porto's 2-1 triumph against Monaco, at Dragão.

The victory: "It was a great game for the team. We were good, we need to prepare for the official debut and we will try to win the title. We will work hard for that. I think we will do even better. We had new players [against Monaco] , it was the first game at Dragão and it was tough. We played a good game and we will try to keep it that way in the next games."

Supercup next weekend with Tondela: "Thank the fans, we need them in the next game because it's just one game and we want to win. They went down a division, but they have a good team and we need the fans to win that game."

Not a single person, that I have seen on this board, have said that they want to drop Taremi BECAUSE they think he is a bad player. If there is one thing that everyone has always agreed on is that Taremi has been on fire for the last three years. And he had another great game today. People that want Taremi dropped under Skocic have many vaild reasons and none of them gave his quality of play as a reason.

BTW, I am really sorry that your life is not easy...

He scored 6 goals against Tondela last season - they will be having nightmares.

"The persecution of Taremi is on the rise, which anticipates a time under attack"

Words from Francisco J. Marques, director of communication and information at FC Porto.

Francisco J. Marques, FC Porto's director of communication and information, took to Twitter this Sunday to respond to criticism regarding the penalty kick, suffered and converted by Taremi, who gave FC Porto the first goal in Saturday's friendly with Monaco (2-1), in the Dragon.

"It's only because of sick clubs that doubts can be raised about this takedown, which is naturally sanctioned with a penalty. The persecution of Taremi is growing, which anticipates a time when we will be under attack. We have to be united, trust the president, the Sérgio and in the players", wrote J. Marques.

"They've been trying to take us down for 40 years, they never succeeded because we've always had someone who knew how to reinvent our teams and this season will certainly be no different. Long live FC Porto", he added.

Hard to argue that is not a penalty. There is body contact and there is player impedance and there is no ball contact either. Should be a penalty, notwithstanding Taremi s exaggerated response.

How serious is this AC Milan interest in Taremi?
Iran deserves better, TM deserves better.

"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh
