The few that went there went through all sort of shit, from ghoddos fifa suspension, to coach change at the worst time to the traditional injuries.
Ghodos is not legionnaire...he caMe out of Swedish league....his success or failure has nothing to do with persian football....

REality some times is very harsh....
my g.f brother back in the days
at 27 wanted to basicly quit life
And become American football fg kicker.
    kicker.he had same mentality of
if I don't try my luck , how would i
know if I make it or not. OF COURSE TO NO ONE SURPRISE HE FAILED AND WASTED 3 YEARS OF HIS LIFE. And this is also story of 90% of our transfers...
what have we done for these players since they where 12 years old to expect them to have success in top 5 league?

    Reality is this
We need strong league to maintain who we are now, keep our top 6 place in asia......we are wc bound, and we are
asian cup qf, to semifinal legit candidates.
Need to keep what we haVe to hVe chance of
going r16 or ac final ONCE WE GET LUCKY.....important is to keep what we haVe with fields like masjed soliman ,and nassaji HAVE NOT IMPROVED SINCE THE 1980S
    we have over achieved .
Credit goes to fans and media,, PGL FOR THIS OVER ACHIVEMENT.

ONCE AGAIN IN RIGHT SITUATION WHAT I AM SAYING IS WRONG, BUT IN IRAN CURRENT SITUATION ITS UNFORTUNATLY THE REALITY.

Ghoddos has to do with Persian football the day he choose to play for TM. As a result, a hyped Europa league player finished between the worst Spanish and French club. As the same, his Swedish friend went straight to Dortmund (ok he is younger) and the Iranian that chose Australia NT has a free pass to City and Celtic.

But back to the league discussion, what the point of having a top asia league? Asia level is low. We lose our time with a low level ACL and IPL while the real level is in Europe.

You say yourself Iran situation isn't good. We won't improve the league alone. Some of the few foreigners that came and improved our league was because of our legionnaires (Neku and his Spanish ex teammates, berdiev ex Azmoun coach, locadia ex JB teammate..). We won't go anywhere staying between ourselves.
If IPL club were smarter they would earn some money by transfering their players in Europe. The players would progress or at least learn and come back later to improve IPL. Some of our legionnaires ex teammate or relations would accept to join our league. Win-win.

We are not in 1979. If we want to advance from wc group and win AC we need more legionnaires and in better clubs. We can be better than japan korea and many other countries in the world with a weaker league (that progress at a turtle pace) and weaker legionnaires (both in quantity and quality)

Iran's Sepahan, Russia's Zenit football clubs sign deal

TEHRAN, Feb. 18 (MNA) – Alexander Medvedev, Director General at Zenit St. Petersburg, and Mohammadreza Saket, Sepahan general manager, signed a new memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two clubs on Friday.

The original partnership agreement was signed in April 2021 as a two-year deal with the clubs agreeing to actively exchanging experience in the areas of football, medicine and training, with Gazprom Academy coaches heading to Iran to work at Sepahan and vis-versa, Zenit club reported, according to Tehran Times.

A Sepahan youth team also took part in Zenit's Vladimir Kazachyonok memorial youth tournament.

The updated agreement includes plans for Sepahan Academy sides to participate in the Friendship Cup youth tournament, a friendly match between the clubs' women's teams, and increased cooperate in the legal and marketing maters.

Zenit played a friendly match in Iran for the first time in history on Friday against Sepahan, where the Iranian team won the match 2-0.

These type of deals (MOU) never bring any value to our football. Just some PR nonsense.

Wish we had a good and Iran-loving government where we can were on friendly terms with all countries and and would play every team and not be limited to Russia, China, Iraq and friggin' North Korea.
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Atm im happy if we manage setup with all 3 of Russia China and N Korea friendlies.

better than uzbek party.. only reason im happy with iraq friendly is bcuz its fun to beat them around nowrooz. Perfect timing. If not id rather not play them at all.

Your definitely right about the MoU, we have so many mous signed with croatia, and also with netherlands and italy some years back.. Taj is using them as toiletpaper backup in his private iff toiletroom. All these mous and still no friendly for ages.

but I believe sepahan zenit mou parts will be activated or atleast have a bigger chance to be. Since its between the clubs and the russian team needs it aswell.
