It has to do with the confederation. The refs for our group will be from AFCON, CONMEBOL, or OCEANIA

A few observations:

1- The left side of Wales is soorakh big time. Ukraine just waltzed in a few times and came close to scoring.

2- Bale has passed his expiration date, so has Ramsey. Couple of great players at their prime. Hope they stay on the Welsh team for the game against Iran.

3- The #9 Welsh player came on late, but seemed very dangerous, good skills, fast, and smart. Was one of the bright spots for Wales.

4- An aged Hennessey is better than a new one. Nevertheless, I think Azmoon will put to him to the test (get the pun?)

I don’t think we’ll get a euro ref for the USA match, as it can bias the outcome of the group (for example they wouldn’t have an AFC ref for US vs England).

The #9 is Brennan Johnson, very highly rated and just been promoted to the Premier League with Notts Forest. He was supposedly wanted by a few Premier League teams in Winter transfer window.

Bale is past his best and I mentioned before i don’t see him lasting the 90 in the group games and potentially being rested. Where he can make a difference with though is his set piece ability, we really need to be careful not to give away silly free kicks around the box.
