BTW, June 5th is also the date we’ll learn who the final Euro team is in our WC group. We’ll have that answer before the Canada-Iran kickoff

This is hilarious to read, they are going back and forth about their worries that the stadium will be majority Iranians. They say we have a lot of balls to think that we will outnumber them in their home stadium, or they think the Iranians will also be cheering for Canada tooOriginally posted by armen View PostFor a Canadian fan perspective of TM's upcoming game with Canada, here's the pre-game match thread from a Canadian soccer fan forum:

that's a great $core..!! should cover their travel and lodging expenses at least ..!!
they really should come south to Tehrangeles for a friendly with any team will do...!! i bet they score some serious cash loading up a large venue there abouts too..? but getting it transferred outa US is another thing though..!!

But things are done properly in places like Canada. Everyone benefits from this arrangement, including Iran.Originally posted by MehdiKing View PostThey make almost 4.5M alone on ticket sales and god knows how much for TV rights.
Now you tell me who is making a smart deal
While in Iran, only the dalals make money - not the players, clubs, youth academies etc."This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

You got to spend money to make money!Originally posted by MehdiKing View PostThey make almost 4.5M alone on ticket sales and god knows how much for TV rights.

The CSA is doing it the professional way.
If only the shortsighted fools in IFF understood.

Amazing how many people aren't aware of this. You request a friendly match, many times the federation asking for the friendly match ends up hosting and pays the visiting team. I am willing to bet the discussion was originally started from the Canadian side. I'm sure it took some persuasion from the IFF side to make it happen, but no way IFF made this happen.Originally posted by Nokhodi View PostEveryone in Iran is shocked, but most don't realize when you invite a team, you usually pay a fee!
Instead we have the idiots from Tarafdari complaining about the game, and saying we should get even more money!

Serious note:
We should start having friendly games in canada instead of shitty arab countries! These guys already made $4mill just from selling tickets!
Imagine iran vs brazil in canada ! We could easily make $5 mill from that game. Then we can afford to give $1 or $2 mill to brazil.
Italy , Argentina , USA would also be good for making money.
