Perhaps. But my impression is that even iranian working class value training, education and humbleness. Without getting anecdotical, Im from a working class background and proud of it.

Plus anyone comparing Morocco to Iran is delusional and knows nothing about football. Which one of our players grew up in Spain and played in La Liga academies up throughout their youth?
      Impossible bro.

Our ceiling for Asian Cup is Semi-Finals and World Cup is 3rd-place in the group stage. Under IR, we will only reach this ceiling. That's it. 43 years of hard evidence.
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

It's like the players came to the qualifying games to play pickup in the park with no training or fitness regimens in between

thank you!! At what point will you guys just accept our athletes are not athletic enough to compete on the world stage and quit putting all the blame on the coach?

The worst thing is Ezza has the audacity to cry after the US game! It's like if a student that didn't work all the year is disappointed to fail the final exam.

I think him crying was a combination of losing and what’s going on in Iran/what winning that game would have meant with the current events going on. I actually thought he played pretty well in the group stage

The whole iranian ecosystem (medias, coach, TM coach, fans) make them think coming back in IPL is better than fighting in Europe for their career and TM invitations.

I don't think events in Iran play a role, I guess him and PoolaliGanji were crying the same way in 2018. If they really care to please TM fans, events or not, they shouldn't have manage their career that way and lazy off so long. I can understand injuries, some months off and one wrong career choice. Accident can happen. But there is nothing right during the last 6 years.

Ezza looks good at wc because of his natural talent. He wake up just on wc with all the adrenaline around the competition

Things move in the direction we want to see with exports. There will be more and more as these legionnaires get home after seasons abroad. They will instill the importance of moving abroad and learn from the best. But it will take a generation. Say we have 10-20 legionnaires atm. They retire, get home. Hopefully they will instill the importance of moving abroad. Where there used to be 5-10 talking about this, now there are 20 in our infrastructure that encourage doing the right thing.

This is of course worse compared to nations with systems and networks in place for this to happen systematically. Like business climate for japanese is always easier and access too. They are bound to leave in droves for Europe.

So the key issue is not if exporting to Europe will grow or not. The key issue is of course the pace of this process.

In a culture with open debates and public and open access to organizational agenda setting this debate would have been had 20 years ago. Problem with Iran is these kind of conversations are stifled.

All these old ass amateurs that have no business running football nor have the qualifications should just retire. They dont even know what they want to do with the mandate and power they are given. Its like "okay now we are in power. What should we do?" The only thing they know is how to embezzle money.

No strategic partnerships with clubs in europe, no buying of clubs in europe, no incentivizing going to europe, no incentives for people that want to run pro agencies, no nothing! I dont understand how hard these things can be for certain people. How hard can it be to write 5 and 10 year plans and put them in motion.

We can't wait years for the culture to change.

Export in Europe is like a fire, if we let the recent momentum fade away (a big thanks to Mohebi, Ghaedi and others for that), we will see a new post 2006 where we had almost no legionnaires.

True. This is a huge risk! They should set a 5 year plan in motion freaking asap. Put systems in place for exports to happen. All that power and mandate given to hands of officials and they wont do jack

We also got unlucky too. It goes both ways. You can't say we got lucky and then deny that we were extremely unlucky this time too. (Beiro injury, morale of the team due to fan's namardi,Taremi not finishing against US)

You just have an inherent anti CQ bias no matter what happens (he could solve world hunger and you'd say he's doing it for himself), so no one can give any credibility on what you say *for this matter*
