About 3 years ago agreement was reached between FIFA and IFF for:
1-New election and new IFF president.
2-Revise IFF statue to comply with FIFA requirement and Iranian laws.Deadline March2. 2022.
Last year after months of works IFF prepared & presented amended statue. One sensitive issue has been wording of Paragraph one of Article one of revised IFF statue that need Parliament approval. While under review by parliment Azizi Khadem's legal consultant established secret communication with FIFA to resolve this issue with an argument that there is no need legally for approval of Parliament (base on one case in court).
This communication by Rafiei created havoc that resulted a revolt by BOD and departure of Azizi Khadem and his legal consultant Rafiei.
Deadline is still March2.
Yesterday member of BOD said they are working with Majlis to meet the deadline but perhaps they may need an extension.
Yes, FIFA can penalize Iran, but this action is from disciplinary committee and not FIFA ethic committee.
Reported case of possible involvement of FIFA ethic committee is unrelate to that, and yes IFF can be penalize for that too.
