Such a shame as I thought him and Khalatbari would bring it home, but they never really showed up that day.
One of the best PGL teams ever. Built for foreign success and came so close. The really amazing thing about that team is it had a lot of grassroots success. Not many huge names or massive stars, but played as a cohesive team and were well coached.

    Mehrdad Oladi

His PGL team blocked his transfer to La Liga (Xerez). I remember it was either Mobali or Kazemian who said this had devastated him. He was a real talent.

The biggest "what if" in our football was perhaps Moharram Navidkia.

Oozed with class, great mind, great player. Derailed by injuries because he was so heavily relied on by TM, U23, Sepahan etc. in a short period of time. Played in Bochum too.

How good was he? As good as Javad Nekounam. Never recovered from his injuries to be the player that he was.

Another big one was Rahman Ahmadi. Actually very talented GK and saved us in 2014 WCQ against Korea with arguably the most important GK save in TM history

And then he humbly moved to the side for Haghighi without really complaining. Legend

That sarbazi issue really ruined his mental game or something, he capitulated during the Asian Cup vs. Iraq.
incredible player, i haven't seen a better LB for tm myself. really sad what the sarbazi issue did to him
