ofc every coach has some weird personnel choices. I dont think CQ is immune to that, nor should sko be blamed for all of his.
But I think you should also give credit be reasonable when analyzing the shear volume of players CQ introduced to NT either at a young age and trusted with mins OR were unknown quantities in PGPL that he elevated to new level.
Beiro joined TM when he was still on Naft. CQ introduced PAG who was formerly a DM to become star CB of the team. In WC he introduced majid hosseini at an even younger age. He quickly took milad from Terek Grozny and trusted him with many mins in 2018 WCQ and got the best out of him. I described what he did with amiri, the position change was truly remarkable. Trusting Saeid from Atletico C team at age 18 to become defensive lynchpin of Midfield taking over from nekou from very beginning of WCQ...Would sko do that? I see him more likely to go with short term type fixes he prefers now such as Nourollahi (clearly huge technical limitations) and Shoja (declining and error prone).
Taremi was subject of so much ridicule on here but CQ insisted with him, in slightly unorthodox wide role, it took his game to a new level...Then he used his respected position in portuguese coaching circles to find him a perfect fit in Carvalhal for first euro step.
This list is very long and I dont include guys like Azmoun or ARJ whose talent was just too obvious and any coach would recognize.

Sure, but cq stayed 8 years, sko is coaching TM for less than 2 years and start straight with critical situations (wcq where we were almost out). Sko had little time to do camps, friendlies as most of the Fifa dates were for wcq (with covid, 2 3 days training before critical wcq games).
From the start everybody was sceptical with him and only wait for his failure. I can understand he didn't try some experiments.

As you said, we can critize every coach decision but I find his decision more logical than at the beginning

Regarding the game against Korea: A win/lose or draw won't change my opinion on Skocic.
It's not about the result, it's about the fact that we're playing clueless football without any sort of gameplan.

Our players individual talent, combined with our opponents being at their weakest form in many years, is what has won us the games so far.

In the WC, we don't have that advantage(individual talent) over our opponents. There we'll need to win our games by playing with a gameplan.
A good experienced coach can help us in that regard, while Skocic can't IMO.

Now, if i see us play good tactical football against S.Korea( regardless of the result) i'm willing to change my view on this guy.
But going by his 15 games in charge so far, i don't see it happening.

The clock is ticking fast and the WC is right around the corner.

i have to agree that our opponents and asia in general is so weak right now.

qatar, japan iran and arguably saudi are a league above everyone else. SK and aus are in poor form. iraq is historically bad....outside of qatar and saudi, there's not a single arab team that can pose a threat to TM. this wasn't the case a few years back, where we could always expect trouble against a lebanon, bahrain, iraq, even kuwait back in the late 90s.

i'm concerned that we havent been tested yet. we NEED some difficult friendlies against good WC-bound teams. with wc2018, we had a solid defensive foundation but lacked offensive spark. now we have offensive spark in the form of a prime/on form taremi and azmoun, but lack that defensive discipline.

this team needs to experience being down in a game/adversity against a strong opponent.

I see Sadeghis point in criticizing the fact that IFF choose someone with a low resume as TM-Coach. I was thinking exactly the same as him. But if everyone else could be the Coach of TM and we would still succeed, than how we explain the disaster under Wilmoz ( who has a good resume, at least compare to all other Coaches in Iran). The fact that Sko was able to save us from being eliminated in the early stage of WCQ, changed my mind about him. I am not happy with all the Line-Ups and Subs that he has made, but until now he got the job done and the results he got are impressive.

The game against Koea will give us a better picture, where we stand as a Team with him being in charge.

Not only was Sadeghi trying to make some points, but they were actually very valid.

Regarding Majidi interview, it was too emotional i agree.
I can however understand his frustration. We have the best defense in the league, yet Skocic decides to play a leftback out of position before giving our CB a chance.
Last time our defence was this good, we had 3 players starting in TM backline.

Majidi did however give some praise for Skocic in the same interview( which i don't agree with).

Guus Hiddink would be nice. He knows how to qualify teams to the 2nd round in WC.
If not Hiddink, there are other capable coaches out there for TM.

cq also probably knew that its easyer to teach a young kid what to do than an older player, who has learned other basics and has to learn all over again + erase old motoric memory..

its easyer then to teach a younger player who is more openminded and want to learn and also energetic, how to do things the way he wants as a coach?
