This was an atrocious and unprofessional performance from Team Melli. Only players worthy of praise today were Taremi, AJ, Kanani, and Abedzadeh. The rest were just so abysmal. Mind blowingly careless passes. Extreme wastefulness in good attacking opportunities. A ceaseless flow of unnecessary fouls. This team needs discipline BADLY otherwise we will get exposed against proper opposition.

I absolutely agree, Iraq, Syria and UAE performed very poorly this WCQ and we benefitted from that. The real test will be in March against Korea.

I totally agree on the discipline part. My concern is, if Sko has the kind of dominant Character and Authority to give players like Gholi a "slap" for their carless play... I am pretty sure that CQ would take Gholi apart right after the game.

Congrats on the win. We have a lot of keyboard coaches here. That's fine. That's what the forum is for . Sliver lining is that we defended with ten men for most of the second half and we created many chances. Gholizadeh had an off game. He was selfish at some point where Mehdi could have made it 2-0 and save us from hypertension in the end. I appreciate the fact that he has had many good games and he is one our assets. I wouldn't be too hard on him. I am sure he will hear about his performance from the coaching staff. I agree that Skocic should have taken him out instead of Saman. The big challenge will be next match when we will be missing Saeid and Moharrami. Hardani was good. I think he will get a start against Korea since Skocic does not have many options. Noorollahi was off. He needs to get it back together since he will be starting in place of Saeid in Korea.

Skocic reminds me of Bronko who always insisted to use the same 11 players and when he made changes it was so late in the game that had basically no impact.

I don't understand why Noorafkan was playing in defense today when you have natural defenders like Yazdani and others who can fill that role much better.

Why Milad, why Ahmad who just recovered from Covid and why playing Ezat when his performance was sub par against Iraq. Why not using some new blood? When would be the time to test these players?

Skocic is not thinking about future .. only focused on today!
