personally dont buy all these ligament injury bs excuses ....!! those are just typical bs clubs feed fans and media in order to avoid embarrassment for their vastly hyped-up new signee showing up to club looking bit gordo and taneh lash..!!
he showed up to his last TM camp for most part looking same & still tore shitt up even w/o Mehdi by his side & saved Eskoochie's neck in process ..! Woulda started & done same had Covid/Zenit let him leave for our last 2 WCQs as well ..!
Ps
Watched a few of Leverkusen’s last league games highlights the other day … although teams looked far more organized defensively in BL, still spaces to exploit looked a plenty & overall man-markings quality average ….!
I think with him being so used to regularly squeezing goals through in between 8-10 narehkhar men back-lines of RPL, he’ll have himself a hay day with that vastly more dynamic and talented attacking partners in Leverkusen...!
the only other things i noticed was that their own backline also seemed similarly susceptible to giving up tokhmy goals ... frequently due to brain farts and momentary lapse in concentrations..!!
once sardar has been whipped into shape and familiarized with his attacking teammates, i dont see too much trouble for them to finish the season only second to Byern..!!
hell throw him out there next game and give our man about 60-70min and i put money on him scoring or assisting , probably both..!Last edited by BacheLot; 02-09-2022, 08:48 PM.

Bundesliga could introduce playoff format to end Bayern's dominance
Berlin, Feb 11, 2022 (AFP) - As Bayern Munich continue their march towards a tenth successive Bundesliga title this weekend, the German top flight has been gripped by a debate about whether to introduce end-of-season playoffs to make the league more exciting.Julian Nagelsmann's Bayern are currently nine points clear at the top of the table, a lead they are expected to defend when they travel to minnows Bochum on Saturday. With the league now facing another year without a serious title race and a decade of dominance from the Bavarian giants, questions are being asked about the possibility of a new format. "There are no taboos for me. If playoffs will help us, then we'll talk about playoffs," new German Football League CEO Donata Hopfen told Bild newspaper in an interview last Sunday. On Wednesday, she got some unlikely support from Bayern, the club who would in theory have most to lose from a new format. "A format with semi-finals and a final would mean more excitement for the fans, so it makes sense to explore these ideas. We're always open to new suggestions," Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn told Kicker magazine. German football decided its champions via a system of regional leagues and national playoffs until the Bundesliga was created in 1963, and smaller European leagues such as the Belgian Pro League have introduced a playoff system in recent decades. The Bundesliga would be the first major European league to introduce such a format, however, and the suggestion has also been met with scepticism in some quarters. German supporter advocacy group "Unsere Kurve" flatly rejected the proposal on Thursday, arguing that stricter financial regulations and fairer distribution of TV money were a better way to improve competition. Kicker reported that the majority of Bundesliga clubs are also against the idea, naming Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt and Union Berlin as examples. But whether with a format change or more regulation, the league is beginning to acknowledge that Bayern's hegemony is becoming a serious problem.Bayern are without captain and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer this weekend, who is recovering from minor knee surgery, but are still expected to cruise to an 18th win of the season against Bochum. The champions dispatched RB Leipzig last weekend, while main challengers Borussia Dortmund slumped to a 5-2 thrashing at home to Bayer Leverkusen, effectively ending their slim title hopes. Dortmund are hoping to bounce back when they visit high-fliers Union Berlin on Sunday.Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has traditionally been among those against a format change, but he struck a more equivocal note this week. "I have never been a fan of playoffs, but given the current situation, we can't afford to have any fundamental red lines," he told Kicker. One to watch: Steffen BaumgartThe Cologne coach went viral last week when his family posted a video online of him watching his team from the living room while in self-isolation with coronavirus. The clip showed Baumgart yelling at the screen and jumping around the room in excitement and frustration, prompting a rather concerned reaction from his dog. Luckily for the dog and for Cologne, Baumgart has now tested negative and will be back in the dugout when his side travel to Leipzig on Friday. The 50-year-old former Union Berlin player is always energetic on the touchline, and the cameras are likely to pay even closer attention to him this weekend. Key stats14: Competitive games since Bochum last beat Bayern Munich back in February 2004.4: Borussia Monchengladbach's current run of back-to-back home defeats. They could equal a club record with another loss against Augsburg on Saturday.

Go Sardar!
I think his weight gain may have been a silent rebellion to agitate for a move at Zenit....

All and all, this has been one of the best moves in years. I am so excited and I can't wait to see him on the pitch in Bundesliga. Solid team, solid coach, solid conditioning and sports medicine plus his work ethic (I am sure he is already taking it up a couple notches) will logically result in a Budnesliga new star being born. For those of you in the states, ESPN+ covers Bundesliga and the subscription is worth it since Feyenoord, Hull City and Charelroi matches plus English FA cup are also covered (hit and miss).
Go Sardar!
