I don’t think Bayer really cares about this competition. They have Bundesliga and now UCL to worry about. The league cup should be of least priority for them this season. Getting eliminated at the very start could allow some extra rest throughout the season

Teams that are competing in Europe don’t care for this. Unless it’s a rich club like Bayern who can afford much more squad depth. Bayer doesn’t have the kind of squad depth necessary to take this competition seriously alongside Bundesliga and UCL
