Guys.. Amiri at 33 was rediscovered as our number 1 playmaker today. We have a beast in our team lets be proud as players like him are not easy to find. He is really world class. He has played way above standards for Iran recently so damesh garm.

The only bigger liability than Skocic’s coaching and tactics (which is didn’t think was all that bad today) is our CB pairing. The amount of times between the two they play silly passes that get intercepted in dangerous areas will absolutely be punished by teams outside of Asia, let alone a top 15-20 team.

Mark this post and remember it….I absolutely guarantee this will haunt us if no changes are made to the CB line. One thing is for absolute certain…..PAG is sorely missed in the back.


I think we played a very solid game today and I like that the players were taking short corners and actually getting further than just whipping it in and skying it or not winning any balls like we have the last 12+ games. Hats off to Skocic for getting that corrected.

Another bow to Skocic staff for finally making a solid effort and creating chances through the middle of the pitch and not relying on aimless crosses from the flanks like the last few games. We had lots of solid chances come through the middle and I think all midfielders did a great job of maintaining possession and not allowing the Syrian team to do much at all.

On the flip side I cannot understand his substitutions yet again……biggest thing that gets under my skin (or maybe one of them) is the fact that YET AGAIN he DOES NOT utilize his bench whatsoever. This is the third or so game he has made 1 sub or so until the 80th minute. Clearly the team had a lot of gassed guys after the 60th minute but the only sub the staff made from min 45-80 was Sarlak. I guarantee if we had some fresh legs from min 60 onward we would have scored more goals and honestly it’s just the right thing to do when ur totally dominating another team….reward your bench guys traveling from the premier league and Europe with some mins if you’re not going to start them.

This is now 3 out of the last 4 TM games where saman has played 0 mins…..I do not blame him one little bit if he doesn’t opt to travel to ride the bench any more. If he were to speak out I wouldn’t bash him at all bc at least unlike Taremi he has something to genuinely and logically be ticked off about. This is getting freaking ridiculous by Skocic

Agree with most of what you said, but Ghodoos isn't that kind of guy. Based on the interviews I've read he'll always try and make the lineup. He won't quit. Playing in the World Cup for your country is way too important to him.
I also think he'll get more of a chance in our winter games.
