Before the game I raised this concern that whoever takes taremi place (especially if saman, yasin, etc) could struggle bc they have had very little to no mins with team in meaningful games recently. Skocic relies on tactic so far of zero midfield play, taremi azmoun being main playmaker and goalscorer. Issue is when one is out there are no solutions ready that are up to speed.

If maybe he had given ghoddos 30 mins vs uae the guy wouldn’t look so out of sync with everybody in tonight critical game with taremi out.

The crazy thing is there is a common denominator here and thats the Beiro - Kanaani - Shoja backline. Kanaani - Beiro especially was part of literally all 3 of those instances. These players never learn.

If anything, that goal was actually a case in point Skocic was trying to make about Iranian player tactical abilities. Same type of mindset that is require to adhere to a strategy, is needed for cases like this.

Agree, we needn't freak out yet. There's still a lot to play but its gonna be scrappy. I am one of the 2 that voted we lose, but after seeing the 1st half dominance I think it will probably be a very scrappy draw.

A lot of Daneshmand haters going to feel empowered by this first half performance but it's important to point out CQ lost 1-0 against Lebanon and he had Rahmati ('Persian Yashin'), Pejman Nouri ('Persian Gullit') and Lionel Khalatbari at his disposal too so I wouldn't jump to any conclusions. Give him a 4 year contract and an opportunity to bed in the Sarlak-Nouro midfield pivot and let's go.
