You’re right, let Esteghlal fans be happy really football is one of the only things that makes people happy in Iran, Perspolis winning every year is not healthy for our football. Hopefully, Sepahan, Gol Gohar and Foolad can catch up next season so the league is not dominated by ES and PS.

Milad Sarlak to the Dutch league?
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Perspolis won 4-1 against FC KIA's main team in a friendly game.

Reza Asadi scored a hattrick. The other goal was scored by Mehdikhani.

Can any of our French speaking members give a short summary of what he says? Google translate doesn’t do the best job….

                          - He wasn't interested by Iran first. After some research and a talk with the SS italian assistant, he was reassured and more motived with the fact SS play ACL and had lot of fans.
                          - He mainly played with bottom league in his career, playing with a league contender was a huge plus.
                          - Of course money was important. He earns more in Iran than in his previous euro clubs.
                          - He doesn't agree with the journalist saying that going from Danish to Iran league is a step back. He defends the league by saying Portuguese clubs buy a lot of iranians and his previous portuguese (and euro) clubs were bottom league clubs.
                          - Fan floods his insta with messages even before he took the plane to Iran. First time he saw such passion.
                          - Tehran has good spots and isn't that different from life in Europe. He traveled with SS for away games and noticed how Iran has different landscapes (desert, sea, mountains). He is interested to stay in SS after this season
                          - Persian is difficult. he just know Salam, chetori, colours, and how to count from 1 to 10. However, he can find people speaking english there
                          - During his free time, he visits the city, eat with his teammates, go to Iran mall (biggest mall of Asia), Chitgar lake which is a nice area with restaurant and cafés.

At first place he didn't want know anything about playing in Iran but talked with majidi italian assistant and was informed that the club play in ACL. He doesn't consider playing in Iran a, downgrade as Portugal have an eye on Iranian league.
Of course salary was the main reason he moved but find the level of the league pretty ok
And fans are crazy about their clubs and he was receiving lots of messages even before signing.
I didn't read the whole article yet thought lol

                                Thanks PSG jaan

I always love seeing foreigners have positive experiences in Iran and honestly all his points have been said before by previous foreigners in our leagues as well be it coaches or players. Level wise definitely one of the best in Asia (even tho I think it has regressed in recent years) and from the perspective of a euro player like him, he would never have the opportunity to play on big of a stage as he currently is so I like that he acknowledges that kinda by saying that was what drew him there.

He has been one of the best players in the league this season so undoubtedly a great foreign purchase by SS. Like to see more of these guys in our league and hope his positive experience continues on.
