Last time Mahdavikia agreed not to invite more than two players from each clubs and that will make it impossible to invite Hosseinzadeh unless Persepolis keep loosing points.If Hosseinzadeh, Khaghani not available may be Koushki shouod be considered.
Unfortunately Barzagar is not available.

After end of ACL group rounds and qualification of Al Rayyan, Nicolas Cordova coach of Al Rayyan and Qatar U23 resigned from Al Rayyan to focus on U23 team. that serious.

According to Fars news U23 team manager to leave the team due to some problems.
after Mohammedi's resignation was announced, his resignation was accepted by Mirshad Majedi.

Only 4 weeks to the first game, U23 Manager resigned for better offer from Persepolis.
He said it was because of serious issues some beyond his ability to deal with. He said he has notified Mahdavikia last month but somehow waited a month to resigned. He did not acknowledge but he waited until Persepolis offer became serious,

U23 supposed to participate in Islamic Solidarity games Konya2022 in August and Hangzhou games in September 2022 but It seems Iran will not participate at Konya with U23, and Hangzhou games may be delaying a year (to be decided tomorrow).

Khodaei was with U19 team 2019 CAFA game. He is not best Azadegan Goal scorer at this stage, a younger player from Mashinsazi Amir Shahim is.

U23-Update.

Until new U23 team manager is selected, Gholamreza Jabbari will be acting team manager.



Gholamreza Jabbari (youth committee), last month was appointed as head of education committee of IFF.

His comments regarding U23 remaining days:

As the head of the youth committee, it is my duty to pursue the affairs of U23 team, but we are looking to choose Mohammadi's successor in before sending the team to the Asian championship.

We have two options. The first option is to start. from May 20 to May 28 training at the national football center, and invite a foreign team, with two friendlies on May24,7 27 . this is our preferred option. The second option is to hold camps in a foreign country (Turkey). we are following these two options .

Given the importance of the AFC U-23 championship in Uzbekistan, all teams should cooperate with U23 team and understand the conditions of the team, The priority with the team is U23 and all clubs must cooperate making their players available ( last two weeks of PGL) .
