Hamid Deranhshan should have nothing to Do with youth coaching ever again. He’s the same idiot who was bringing in overage players for the u-20 or u-18 national team in the late 90s.

He’s also even more illiterate about modern football than the other candidates.

Definitely. They should keep on looking in Iran. And look beyond former players IMO. (There's no requirement for a good coach to have been a good player pripor to becoming a coach).

now this would be great time to give this to the u17 coach we had in world cup. someone wrote couple of days ago that he isnt coaching anymore since he is retired so he should be available then with a chelokabab and chai campaign from iff. id take that dude anyday over these candidates for the job.

Nicolas Cordova Chilian coach is coach of Al-Rayyan and Qatar U23. Qatar has good experience with this method. Flix Sanches their previous U23 coach was and is coach of Qatar national football team. Qatar is in our group A.
Enayati is better than those 4 but not the best option

Salehi Amiri president of national Olympic committee is not always informed about U23 Olympic team.
Last month he said Mahdavi kia is U23 coach but today he was not sure of it.

Today he talked about his conversation with Kamranifar about status of U23.
He said, Kamranifar will speak again with Mahdavi kia for full presence and if not moving to the alternatives.
He will meet next week with IFF .

Interesting words he used for full time and part time Hezoore Kamel , Hozoore Kam rang.


My note:
Mahdavi Kia wants to keep his current job as assistant coach in Germany while coach U23 team. that won't work with Hozoore Kamel.

مسئله اصلی که صحبت کردیم این است که در بحث تداوم حضور مهدوی کیا و دستیارانش در تیم امید ابهام است و قطعیت وجود ندارد و قرارداد امضا نشده
و وی و دو دستیارش حضور فعال در کنار تیم امید ندارند.

هفته آتی برای ادامه روند حضور سرمربی و دستارانش جلسه با فدراسیون داریم.
قرار شد کامرانی فر با مهدوی کیا صحبت کند و اگر برای حضور کامل کنار تیم آمادگی دارد، تصمیم گرفته شود
چون حضور او کمرنگ است و اگر آمادگی ندارد سریع سرمربی جدید را معرفی کنند.

Iran don't have U23 team and a coach yet. Since qualification last october there has not been any new selection or training camp.
Base of Mahdavi kia's suggestion somehow IFF has decided that training must be on FIFA days but there are only limited numbers of FIFA days. We missed 2 and that last one before June games is 9 days in March (21-@9).
This has been a very bad idea and suggestion that may be fatal for U23 games in near future.

We have conducted U23 training in the past and not always in FIFA days and all other countries doing the same and they are not going to limit themselves to those limited days Unfortunately in Iran this bad Idea of Mahdavi Kia has not been challenged,

Both Uzbekistan & Qatar in our group A had training camps and have more,

Qatar participated in U23 West Asian games after qualification with Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Iraq...
In January and Feb Qatar U23 had 2 friendlies with Saudi Arabia (1:2 & 2:2).
Both Uzbekistan & Qatar will play in a tournament in UAE in March.
None of these games were limited to FIFA days.

According to Isna, Mahdavi Kia has accepted terms of IFF for contract and will remain U23 Coach/

Yesterday BOD Osouli said we have spoken with him, and ball is in his court.

Yesterday both Parliament members who visited Majedi & Olympic committee promised fund for IFF to cover U23 expenses including coaches.

What's Next:
*- Mahdavi Kia (& 2 assistants) to return to Iran to sign a contract. (all TM contracts, players, coaches... by law must be sign in Iran)
*-Signing contract with Iranian assistants.
* Announce a plan & set a date for next training.
*- prepare list of players.

He is the coach and will be judge by performance of U23 win or lose.
Next games are very difficult unlike qualification
He has support more than any other U23 coach ever in Iran but at the end he will be judge by next two tournaments.
