Considering that we could have been in the same group with Japan and Korea Republic, this is not a bad draw. It will be tough since we will be playing the hosts and Qatar has been investing heavily in their youth teams. Even Turkmenistan will not be easy.

We are very late as others have team, plan and preparation already but:
It's doable

*-Select the Coach ASAP. A coach who resides in Iran and is engage with clubs and their coach, full time coach.
*-Don't just rely on 9 FIFA days for training. It's not sufficient. There are other ways to have few small mini training camps with coordination with Clubs with rotating players.
*- Only 103 days to the first match, select most experienced U23 players (Most U22,21 with only few U20).

Why not if we’re inviting players like Rafei and Kamyabiniya then yes he deserves a chance, but I would still rate Yasin as a better prospect than Hosseinzadeh. He hasn’t shown anything special against teams in the top half of the league, two areas I think he needs to work on is keeping his head up while running to find open players and his shooting could be better.

Yasin & Amirhossein are not necessarily playing in the same position, but they have.
They are different in many ways but both effective, this season Amirhossein became starter from week one. Yasin had injuries, missed games and not yet starter, but he will.
Since last July AH has played twice as Y and scored twice.

They will be both starters for U23in different positions.

As I pointed out few times Mahdavikia want his payment in Euro. Today Kamranifar said that won't happen.

کامرانی فر گفت: قرارداد آقای مهدویکیا یورویی بسته شده اما ایشان باید طبق شرایط جدید و با نظر هیات رئیسه با توجه به شرایط کشور این موضوع را تغییر بدهند.

There is other sticky point that Kamranifar did not mentioned.

Residency in Iran and not just on FIFA days is another one.

IFF cannot and should not agree to pay Mahdavi Kia in Euro or other foreign currency. He is Iranian citizen and should be treated the same. Kamrafifar said BOD will decide if Mahdavi Kia will be a coach.

If IFF paid him in Euro, there is no justification not to pay to other coaches the same way. What if U19 coach, Futsal coach asked to be paid in $?

This will open up the gate for clubs to pay players in other currencies.
