I think he will be a regular fixture in the lineup next season. This year was about adaptation and breaking a lot of bad habits on the pitch for him (that he slowly had gotten used to in iran). Covid + injury didnt help.

He has all the qualities to succeed in europe. Athleticism, size, great speed, strong dribbling ability, comfortable playing up front or out wide, and a nose for goal.

Decent performance. A lot of energy and involved in the game. Pressed well and some key passes.

Had three chances in the box, two of which were blocked shots and one good save from the keeper. Tends to play with his head down and take half a second too long to pull the trigger. A more lethal forward could have got goal out of those chances.

Also Santa Clara's number 20 had probably one of the worst 25 minutes I've seen from a player in a while. Lost count of how many times he missed the net entirely despite being in an optimal position to score..

They are currently in 7th place in a very good league. This is a very good club and this is his first season. But he showed very well today.

Pacos keeper makes a ridiculous one-hand save on Mohebi, who intercepoted the ball and shot it ferociously. Great speed on the kid and good control and shot. No idea how he kept that out.

Tagawa player looks like a baller. They brought him from Japan during the winter transfer window from FC Tokyo.

Agreed, needed to drop deeper into his half to receive the ball from deeper positions when he saw that the ball wasn't making it past the halfway line. Didn't have too many touches of the ball today which is slightly annoying (think he had 4 or 5 touches the whole 16 minutes).

i dont see why some people are bashing ghaedi so much, it was very clearly ss who pushed him to go to UAE. after all he owed it to them after they helped him cover up for the car crash

you can already see a massive improvement in terms of his ball retention, decision making compared to start of the season. The type of progress that only happens when our young players choose europe. Compare to situation of ghayedi

I agree - my biggest problem with him was always his decision making and I felt he didn’t know how to use his physical presence. Both of those seem to have improved noticeably since he got to Portugal so I tip my hat to him for that. He definitely deserves the TM spot over ghayedi IMO and will be 2500x more useful against our 3 very physical WC opponents (regardless of which UEFA team qualifies - they are all very physical teams).
