azmoun is for sure undervalued. No doubting that. But for belotti if he goes to zenit for that price it actually confirms opposite. He is somebody of similar caliber to sardar in the market (I think clearly sardar is a way more complete, superior forward, but they are in similar categories and had similar suitors : AC milan, Roma, etc). None of them could afford belotti and only zenit who traditionally overpay seem to have firm interest. Just like none of these teams is willing to drop even over 20 million on Azmoun, none were willing to do so on belotti either.

In a covid market significantly over EU20 mil for this caliber of CF is something that top 4-6 teams in the top leagues are not very willing to pay. If they go big they rather go for CF in 35-40 mio category to guarantee success more, if not they prefer 15-20 million range, or a structured loan with obligation to buy, etc.

he is most definitely a more well known player, who is 3x as decorated as azmoun. the guy just won a euro cup ffs ofc he's higher valued than sardar esp bc he is italian

Yeah, true. If Belotti goes there, they probably will lure him there with a lucrative salary package and the prospect of CL play (to make up for him taking a step down to go to a lesser league). It's nice to have deep pockets I guess

Have a feeling they will unveil the new jersey with their new signing tomorrow

Id be very surprised if he started for zenit on sunday vs Rostov.

If he did I guess that means move is still in negotiation phase, fee not agreed, etc.

If he does not start/play I think it will be wrapped up early next week.

Several German Media reports... it seems Azmoun will go to Leverkusen, lets wait and see in the next days.

Had bigger hopes for Azmoun, Leverkusen is good but still not a big team in Europe

Lol doesn't get much better than a move to leverkusen, trust me!
This would be amazing! They're a big club in the Bundesliga and they play very attacking football. Even if their defending sucks, they score goals. Azmoun could do very well there and go to an even better side after. Regardless, even leverkusen itself would be amazing.

Can't really expect anything bigger than this. Roma was possible but I'd pick leverkusen and Bundesliga over Roma and series A if I was azmoun.

If he has one good season at Leverkusen he can move to Bayern or Atletico etc. He has to move out of Russia now. Leverkusen is a strong Bundesliga side!

Azmoun scoring 20 goals in a more offensive team in less defensive league like Bayer Leverkusen in Bundesliga >> scoring 20 for Zenit in Russia

Particularly in scouting and getting a bigger move later on. Going from Bayer Leverkusen to Bayern Munich within 2 years is possible while going from Zenit to Bayern Munich is nearly impossible unless you’re some Brazilian wonder kid

This move will pay off dividends for Sardar as he’ll get more exposure to top class players in the Bundesliga as well as Europa League this year (and UCL in future seasons). At Zenit he gets 6 matches in UCL where Zenit gets hammered and he gets no service to even do anything. At Bayer Leverkusen he consistently gets matches against Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Wolfsburg and other decent clubs that would be top 4 in Russia

Cant wait for this move to be official so we can finally have a player in a top league on a respectable side (unlike the garbage that was Brighton). And this is with our Star man for TM. Gonna be exciting to watch every match and be able to follow the Bundesliga closely

Agreed and the time is now. The window for him making the moves we talk about are closing.

If he waits any longer it's highly unlikely he will get a major transfer in two years time.

He has to make the mid table big four league move now if he wants a crack at a big four, top 3 team in a year or two.

After rumors of Sevilla/AC Milan/Roma/Everton chasing him, Leverkusen is simply underwhelming!

He would basically accomplish what Yazdani/Mousavi/Pashazadeh accomplished in the 90’s: joining the “all mighty” Bayer Leverkusen. Only they came straight over from Esteghlal and Sardar had to literally kill it season-by-season in Russia & Europe.

Come on, how on earth can we be truly delighted with this move?? A move to FC Porto would have even been far superior!

If he moves to Leverkusen and plays well he will immediately be scouted by the biggest clubs in the world. The largest clubs do not trust him at the moment. If they did they would have grabbed him. Leverkusen knows if he breaks out they will make money, if not they have not over spent for him. They are looking at this as a business decision. Prove himself and sell him.

I guess you are right then: this is the best thing that could happen to Sardar. Best of luck to him at the “all mighty” Bayer Leverkusen.

                                Good talk!!
