italian medias ranked him highest zenit player on the pitch with respectable 6.5/10

"Semak chooses the lighter attack with the Iranian and not Dzyuba, a complicated evening for him as he ends up in the grip of Bonucci and De Ligt. Always in the heart of the game, in the end he manages to take advantage of the only playable ball in the opponent's penalty area."

        Points:
        A) Azmoun did better defending than all zenit defenders! even the british commentator were shocked .
        B) Azmoun is going to Serie A
        C) Lyon can go suck their moms - No french team!
        D) That finishing was PHENOMENAL ! World Class

I think he can reach 15+ this year . Malmo is sorakh.

Hopefully 2-3 goals vs crappy malmo (Dzyuba and him should be paired up top that game, flanked by these useless brazilians/mostovoy) and a solid showing vs chelsea (a goal would be perfect) and he can leave this season CL with 3-5 goals, a solid return and combined with strong league tally he has the perfect recipe for solid, solid transfer to take place on the free (or even in january)

In hindsight his performance today was really quite impressive. Besides the well taken goal he prevented two goals in his own box, not many CFs are that critical on defensive end (from both open and set play) but he is willing to come all the way back and make critical contributions. Combine that with mental strength he showed to take the goal like that after very frustrating 90 mins, still being hungry and sharp even at the end, should impress any onlooking interested teams

Glad to see him score one like the end of the game scores by Taremi against Chelsea last year and Liverpool this year. I did not see any contact on the penalty kick they awarded against them. Zenit is playing much better this year compared to last year. Let us hope Porto does well tomorrow. Zenit really did not have any chance of finishing in the top 2 in this group. The high pressure against them in the beginning of the game was too much for them to deal with and their goalie seemed completely unprepared to play in this game. He probably does not see pressure like this in the Russian league. As for Sardar walking around, I understand the comment about no point in him expending energy when the rest of the team has parked the bus. However, every time Juventus reset the offense, they would have all the time in the world to pick the entry pass with no pressure. A little more effort from him may have delayed or disrupted their offense.

                      HOW. DARE. YOU ?????
                      The great Ajax not bolded?

actually this list is literally the who's who of european elite clubs.... missing only a few more (add man-U, pool, milan, madrid and barca ... and he can say he has conquered ALL european traditional giants at one time or another)
There' a lot of pedigree also in Anderlecht, Benfica, Lyon.

Great point about Sardar's defensive acumen. Taremi has that too. We are really lucky that our TM front duo have such defensive prowess. I give most of the credit to CQ for developing our forwards in this fashion. Esko needs to take better advantage of these qualities. This will be essential in WC.

                        Go Sardar!
