Proven? How? by Who? Clubs and top players employee nutritionist to help them achieve peak performance. If fasting had proven a winning strategy, then you would have seen players fasting for days on to prepare for games- but you don't.

I'm not going to link it here but you can find the statistics yourself. Hakeem Olajuwon's stats were better during Ramadan than any other period during the season. Those are the facts, you can deny them if you want but they're stubborn things

I don't think we can generalize - for or against each case. Ramadan fasting doesn't give you super powers. The Dream was good always. He was able to maintain his play during Ramadan.

Kyrie Irving was terrible this Ramadan during the playoffs. Jaylen Brown didn't light the world on fire either. Can we use that against Ramadan? No. Can we use Dream's case for Ramadan? No.

Fasting's good for your health and spiritual components can be excellent too. Let's not go beyond that.

they may pretend to be a strict practicing moooozlemz but im pretty certain behind closed doors, many dont follow the rather silly, inconvenient religious antics that are associated with it ...!

From what I've read depending on your body type and health conditions, you can do a 16/8 or a 18/6 and you'll see benefits as long as you're not then going to eat junk food.

I really think for most of these athletes it's more about mental focus, than the diet part per se.

Again, I'm saying all this as someone who doesn't fast.

I think I said it can be proven to make players better. The Dream was good always but his play got even better during Ramadan. He said he felt much more mentally and spiritually focused. It's one particular case that's well documented.
