Too old tbh... They should go for Renato Sanches if possible although he's probably on the list of higher up clubs like PSG

He's old but still very effective and productive. He helps hold the midfield together, and has played thirty plus games a season, for years now. Even Fernando Santos consistently prefers him over Portugal's numerous other midfield talents. And he will definitely be in their 26-man WC roster.

Imo it's a good move for Joao and the club. Renato Sanches is still a couple notches below Moutinho. He has the potential to be better, but so far he hasn't earned that crazy price set by Bayern Munich. Plus, they're getting Moutinho at a huge discount compared to Renato.

Carmo is a huge signing for porto. He had a bad injury but still very young (22) and before that many of the top clubs in europe were after him. Hes a giant at 6ft 5 but still surprisingly mobile.

This signing in addition to highly rated brazilian CB Joao victor means that porto will have more than addressed CB line. Rotation of these 2 and Pepe will be strong and much more likely to succeed in european competition.

Moutinho would be a good signing for them as well. Old yes but still performing at a high level regularly in a league as physically demanding as PL. While they find a long-term vitinha successor he will more than fill the void in the immediate term.

Can't but help feel that if Saied was at the right point in his career - he would have been great on Porto.

They need midfield help and he would have been great if he kept on his trajectory. He has the skills for it but not the will.

Saeid sure had/has the potential for this. would have had been so cool to follow him in a club worth following, as old days with nekounam/shojaei at osasuna for an example.

just no way id go up for watching a vejle game, or some bottom team russian club 2 times/week.

If/When Carmo to Porto becomes official for 20M + 2.5M in objectives, it will be the biggest domestic transfer between 2 Liga clubs, surpassing Rafa to Benfica for 16,4M & Paulinho to SportingCP for 16M
