In Iran it is reported that Taremi called the selector to clarify the controversy

Forward was out of the last call of the Iranian selection.

The Iranian press reported that Taremi will have called Dragan Skocic, Iran's coach, in order to clarify the controversy that left the striker out of the last call.

The FC Porto player will have explained that the criticism he made was directed at the structure of Iranian football and not at the coach, who, along with Aziz Khademi, president of the federation, will soon travel to Portugal to observe players and with a view to a possible private with the National Team.

Yesterday, Sunday, Mehdi was a substitute for the first time in the 2021/22 League. He entered the second half of the meeting with Braga, won by the dragons with a goal by Luis Díaz.

Hopefully the recent turn of events humbled our boy and will be good for him in the long run. Time to welcome him back if true. He must understand he is one of many on the national team, and not even the captain at that.

As Futbaldoost jaan mentioned before, we may not see Mehdi in the Rio Cup match tomorrow. SC had called up about a dozen B team members to train, so he may simply use this as an opportunity to give them playing time.

Taremi had said nothing outrages. Current coach over-reacted by not calling him up. The problem was with the head of the federation not to quash such controversies right when it got started. Just like the time with Taj who did nothing to squash the disagreement with CQ and Branko and NT suffered. These guys are sacred shit about everything when a controversy come up.

Love to see it! If it's one thing Iranians love at their weddings/parties: celebrities and famous singers. I remember as a kid going to a party in Cali for some dude's birthday and the dad had hired the Laker Girls for entertainment. Same family hired the Iranian group Black Cats (for a wedding). LOL.
