No, he is not even close to being as good defensively. Milad is still our best option.

I agree that Milad is our best option and to be frank, I don't think he was a disaster against Bahrain. (although really hard to analyze given low quality streams we watch on) Yes, some obvious mistakes but not horrible enough that needed a sub at half time.

However, I am a bit worried about where his head is at these days. He is usually cheerful and the type of person that does not let pressure get to him. But I noticed before the Bahrain game, that he only looked down, had a sad face, not a worried face.... You can see it in the videos that IFF puts out too. This sad look has continued in post game celebrations, and even today's training pictures. I know it is a stretch and I have no evidence besides a few quick glimpses here and there, but I hope everything is alright in his personal life.

Skokic will know best both physically and mentally where players are and I trust whoever he picks for LB. A mentally and physically healthy Milad is hands down our best left back, particularly when it comes to the defensive aspects of that position.
