What I love about this forum, is that everyone comes up with their own analysis and the diversity of the analyses is amazing! But most people fail to actually take the Barainis and their tactics, game plan into account. Unless you have 100% reliable spies you have no idea how they are going to play for sure and can only guess to a great extent. Their strategy only becomes apparent in the first 15/20 minutes of the game. That is why usually teams are a bit unsure of how to play in that period and by the time the players and the coach realise and adjust to the opponent's game plan it is almost first half. Important not to concede in that period. That was why in the first half we did not play well or seemed unsure. Once skocic realised their game plan we ripped them apart. That is credit to Skocic. Most managers fail to actually realise the opposition's plans. Now this may also be over analysing or seeing things that really aren't there but that is also part of being a fan.

You are right in general, but also a coach could realise its not the system but the fact that he has chosen the wrong player, hint HajSafi, for the wrong position and corrected that. Thats all it took. Why he did pick him in the 1st instance is the mystery. It was obvious to all. I just keep shivering when remembering how Hajsafi just gave that mishit bahraini freekick from the side back to the bahrani player on top of the box to hammer in. Lucky the guy hit it wide. Iraqi players probably will be on target.
