Beiranvand- 6 not tested much and conceded off a good header, not his fault

Amiri- 8 one of our best players today. What an engine

Kanaani 5.5- Had some lapses but otherwise was average at best, not tested much but was super lazy defending Hong Kong's goal. I prefer PAG much more

Shoja- 6.5 Better than Kanaani on the ball and was pretty solid.

Moharrami- 7 Did a solid job going forward. Had some good and bad crosses but mostly good.

Saeid- 6.5 Solid passing and pressing.

Nourollahi- 6.5 considering his poor form he could've been much worse.. Had a few decent shots including one that hit the post

Gholizadeh- 8.5 MOTM. Was awesome. Only issue is that his corners were kinda high but otherwise was great. Someone we badly need to break down IRQ and BHR

ARJ- 8 Again one of our best players today. Hand fed our strikers but they couldn't capitalize. Also had some great tackles, held possession really well, and made all the right passes. EPL really made him a better player.

Azmoun- 6.5 Was clearly trying to play it safe and avoiding getting a yellow. Had a shot that was slightly wide and had another one that was saved. Not as bad of a game from him than people are making it out to be.

Taremi- 5.5 Had good hold up play but otherwise was average at best. Not his best game.

SUBS:

Milad- 6.5 solid. good pace and energy

Karim- 7 Really good position and a nice goal from it. Has been in good form for team melli lately

Torabi- 7.5 Made some really good runs and passes, similar to ARJ in the first half

Rezaei- 6 had some decent runs

Ghoddos 6.5 Played pretty well. Had a nice corner and good ball movement and dribbling. Couldn't find the target though on his free kick and long shot.

Beiranvand : 6 - goal wasn't his fault.

Amiri: 8.5 - Man of the match. Didn't show tiredness, very few mistakes and got a goal. He's like a German NT player from the 90s. Maybe not the flashiest but can be relied upon.

Kanaani: 5 - Kale pook. Lapses between him and Shoja are not acceptable.

Shoja: 5.5 - Kale Pook 2.

Saeid: 7 - Decent distribution. Tried alot of over the top crosses which with a bit more coordination with the forwards will yield good results. Subbed off early as I believe he will start versus Bahrain.

Nourollahi: 6 - too many mistakes and slow in terms of positioning and ball movement.

Gholizadeh: 8 -in the first half, 6 in the 2nd half. He was beautiful in the first half, great passes, finding space, making attacks and of course scoring. In the 2nd half he was making way too many errors that killed attacks.

ARJ: 7 - good running, distribution and finding of space. On a better pitch with more awake strikers he will get us something good. Good captain too.

Azmoun: 6 - mostly lethargic. I'm not that upset because I'd rather he start versus Bahrain.

Taremi: 5.5 - even more lethargic. Took his opponent to be a pushover.

SUBS:

Milad: 7 - good runs and defense. He might start next game, but I hope he doesn't fall asleep as he is prone to do sometimes.

Karim: 7 - couldn't really ask for more from him. Scored a nice sitter.

Torabi: 7.5 - Lovely direct play.

Rezaei: 6 - tried but not his night.

Ghodoos: 6.5 - was essentially playing as a DM. Less coordinated with the team but we all know he has some magic in him.

Overall this is the gameplan every team in the group will play against us (except maybe Iraq depending on what result we need).
Next game will be very tough - we need to truly be professional and have a game plan and stick to it.
Defense needs to wake the fuck up.
A little bit of good luck would help as well.

Field: 0/10 - unacceptable and a complete detriment to any decent team's style of play.
