We need Sardar and Taremi for Bahrain and they have been ineffective in this half anyways. Bring in Ansarifard and Rezaie at halftime. Ghoddos for Nourolahi. Amiri player of the game so far!!!! Amazing motor he has.

I think Gholizadeh, Jahanbakhsh, and Amiri have been our best players today. The rest have been average.

Best player: Golizadeh

His corners were all off. All too high without any curve so the strikers must produce the force themselves. A corner must be like a shot to the middle and we have taller players to just direct them in.

So far.. poor game and too many passes inside the box with almost no shots. This is not good.

Holy overreaction on this forum again.
This is the first game we've played in months.
The pitch is absolutely terrible. I can't believe you guys expect the perfect pass and shot on such a pitch. This is the worst pitch TM has played on since that game in Malaysia.

Overall we've done ok - not bad, not great. Need some luck to get a few goals.
Grass is also long which is slowing down our play.
We also need to avoid complacency. Hong Kong will get some chances despite parking the bus.

Poor quality of football from Iran and Gholizadeh's goal seemed to be more from individual brilliance/Hong Kong defender messing up to be honest. The pitch is the same for us as it is for Hong Kong NT. We've just been poor this 1st half. Our players looking for a penalty every time they get touched. Let's see what changes/necessary adjustments Skocic will make in the 2nd half, but I have been far from impressed this half.

We need kaveh and/or ansarifard in at half time for Sardar.....he’s been super ineffective maybe it’s in part because of his yellow card situation but he also had a great 1v1 situation he blew and also a solid chance with the header.....one of those needed to be better at the very least.

Kaveh and Ansarifard will press like crazy which JB did and got the ball in a good area. We need more of that now that the game has opened up a bit

Bring someone in who can shoot Canons on goal from further back.
Instruct all players: to play forward more direct and shoot more often. No need to do the possionion game wasting endless time passing around.
By simply making more goal shots, there will also be more rebounds and TM offense can punce on that.
No worries by losing possesion by taking more shots/risks, because this Hong Kong team is so bad, they won't really threten on counters IMO.

Hong Kong's style of play does not need a good pitch. They are playing kick and chase. We are trying to play quick combos.

Yep - Nourallhi and Ezat are doing a good job winning ball with back pressure from JB - so just go shoot - we need 3 or 4 for GD

Amiri is playing LB and has been good so far.
Maybe take our Ahmad Noorollahi and bring in Ghodoos instead, but perhaps he's too offensive for that position.
Taremi and Azmoun should be subbed at min 60.
