Watched the full game against Bahrain again. The only thing I can say is that it was a heck of a disappointing performance. Here are some observations;

1. Wiltmos had no idea!! Everything from his player selection to formation and plan was wrong.
2. Our players appeared dazed and confused and not knowing what their role was on the field.
3. Witmos bowing to the pressure of the federation, played with 3 forwards leaving a big void in the middle
4. The combination of Ramin and Mohebi on the right was horrific to say the least. Now I understand better why these two are not invited.
5. Defense line looked disorganized and there was lack of coordination. One of the worse performances from Milad on that day.
6. Hajisafi was the usual disaster. Did nothing and lost a golden opportunity to score.
7. Omid was ineffective in helping the team build up momentum from the back/mid
8. Only when Amiri and Noroulahi came in, the team started wining the ball in the middle
9. the heat was unbearable and the loud speakers in the stadium were deafening - AFC should ban those loud speakers.
10. Again, Wiltmos was the main reason we lost.

I think we will do much better this time around. We have a better coach and better plan.

Good analysis. But somehow our performances have always been shitty when playing in Manama. It was the same during CQ, when we barely drew them 1-1( Jabbari last minute equalizer) after trashing them 6-0 just a month earlier. Then we have the infamous game in 2001. In 2005 WCQ we barely drew them 0-0. We have lost a couple of friendlies there also, being more or less outplayed every time.

It doesn’t seem to matter in which form we or Bahrain are when we’re playing in Manama. Our performance has always been shit. This defies logic lol.

This time however no fans are allowed, which means our players don’t have to listen to their goddamn chanting. Hopefully that has been TM biggest problem lol,and we beat them this time.

Their two naturalized strikers mentioned in the GolBezan podcast Sandro and Fernando did not join due to injury and family reasons.

Very well spoken. Look how he framed the AFC Bahrain situation when addressed - he changed the narrative to positively reflect how powerful Iran is and how when they can't beat us on the pitch and are afraid, they will resort to cheap tactics and cheating to win. It's overall an indication of how powerful Iranian football is and what it has achieved in recent years.

This is psychologically much better than resorting to a doubter, quitters attitude for the players and shows true leadership. He also touched on how when Iranians face difficulty and adversity, we have the ability to thrive and we can achieve that this time around too.

Vahid Hashemian has always been a gentleman and has always spoken with respect! But Did vahid speak the facts about our facilities and preparation by IFF! Answer is NO. What vahid said was exactly what the head of sport minister said in his interview today ! He repeated all the cliché words that IFF and all the IR people have been repeating for the past 10 days or so. Like skocic is he also controlled by IFF ????? God knows!


The Kish facility wasn't even semi-ready until last minute and its still not fully ready. If CQ was in charge he would tear IFF up! Azizi Khadem said him self that he hopes they can develope the camp for team melli for next year (if we qualify for world cup)

Taremi has every right to complain about IFF mess ups. The management has been pooooorrr! They should've started the camp earlier and schedule a friendly game. He has the balls to complain because he know that IFF cant drop him from the list. If they do people would go crazy.

This is what they should've done .

1.)Close IPL (on 18th ) and start the camp earlier on 19th of may. ps: they have closed IPL for other reasons whenever they wanted before .
2.)Schedule a friendly match on 27th or 28th or even 29th ( then we had 5 - 7 days to rest ,recover, train for HK)
3.) Work on psychology of our players.

To people that say players couldn't get enough rest if camp was started earlier (on 19th):
