Confusing situation , commentator on BBC didn’t realise they had chalked the goal off for a couple of minutes. But yes, VAR ruled him just offiside.

ali karimi biggest weakness was always energy levels and speed without the ball. He is far to easy bypass.

I've just calculated head to head between Asian and African teams at the club WC and AFC is definitely stronger than CAF. 13 wins, 2 ties and 3 defeats for AFC. Al Duhail disgraced Asia today. Btw, AFC's head to head record is superior to CAF's at the national team WC too. 6 wins, 7 ties and 4 defeats for AFC. In 2018, all 3 African teams who got an Asian team in group stage finished behind Asian teams. Even Saudis beat Egypt.
