the forwards will for sure not be in the final team. for the midfielders we may see amiri, sarlak, torabi. for defenders we will see probably 2 of them. it is honestly not the worst team imaginable from a domestic standpoint, people forget the days where our most dangerous attacking players were gholamreza rezaei and khalatbari

I thought Paramount Plus (aka CBS) was planning to broadcast all AFC WCQ this fall (see link). I can't find this on their website. Any updates on this? Would having IRIB involved in TM matches in Azadi have any effects on this?

it is still happening, its probably not on their website because its not a big seller to american audiences

There was a coordination meeting with IRIB Channel 3 and Zagros Airlines (official airline of TM for Round 3) with IFF president Azizi Khadem and others. Manager of IRIB Channel 3 was the host and said that IRIB will be the 12th person supporting TM. I am not sure if that means they are ready to pay the broadcast fees to AFC or not. Let's hope they pay up or shut up. We need the hosting rights back for all of our TMs.

Nice work by khadem to get that over the line..! but keeping our home-field advantage Throughout this last round of wcqs is the big and more important objective he should aim for ..!
i assume no fans in the stand..? at least ftb..until covid situation improves in iran..?

Good work by IFF president. This is very important. Let's hope it will continue. He says that it is highly unlikely that there will be any fans at Azadi (baeed midananm) yet he is hopeful that when TM hosts Korea Republic at Azadi on October 11, they will be able to let people who are fully vaccinated and have the official card to attend. He also says that Syrian team will arrive on August 30 (next Monday) and arrangements have also been made for the referee team to arrive in Tehran. Here is the link to the match at fifa.com https://www.fifa.com/tournaments/men...nter/400181489 . The match will be at 8:30pm Tehran time, 6:00pm Central Europe, 12:00pm EST (NY), 9:00am PST (LA).
