I like Amir and respect his hard work. He’s definitely ready to be in our goal. But I do think Mazaheri has a slight edge over him. He’s a veteran keeper who is well rounded. Amir is fantastic and has improved a lot. To be an Iranian goalkeeper in Europe, and on top of that start in the Portuguese league is a huge plus. But I still think Mazaheri should start tomorrow.

Mazaheri had a really poor season for Tractor, especially the second half of it, just mistake after mistake.Originally posted by teammelli91 View PostI like Amir and respect his hard work. I am yet to see a report linking him to an injury as the reason for his return. The only source has been this forum. I realise he may have had a niggly injury but perhaps not big enough to recall him. All I have read is that Zenit has needed him for the next game. It seems to me that Zenit muscled over Dragan and IFF, as I wrote before, CQ would have never stood for this.Originally posted by inarsenewetrust View Postthe more I think about it the more I think the zenit thing with sardar was not fitness related.
If it was they would have just had him on mins restriction agreement with TM or something. Plus every euro country is playing 3 games this international break, many on wednesday. TM will only play 2 and last match on a tuesday.
I am fairly sure this is due to the Covid scare with mali, which is kind of understandable but also kind of stupid when you consider russia itself is a hotspot right now. Anyways, IFF did not have to release him. I wonder if skocic it did this out of courtesy (he met with zenit management and Semak back when he visited sardar a few months ago) or maybe Zenit gave IFF some cash or something.
Anyways as I mentioned before, lets see what kaveh can do. Its time he show himself for TM

Well now Zenit seem to have been in the right to ask him back. covid risk is pretty big as it seems they continue to trickle out infections (4 in playing squad, now 2 in staff).
Hopefully it either goes on and they play and we never hear of it again OR else if it blows up all our legionairres except azmoun who escaped could be fucked for 2 weeks bc of "potential contacT"

To be fair, the risk of COVID transmission between mali and TM during a 90 min outdoor match is low. However, it can spread quickly among the same team as they have indoor workouts, indoor meetings, bus/air travel, dining, etc. I wouldn’t be surprised if game is canceled, but even if not, our boys will likely be okay.
