My god.. literally almost every play shown in these highlights shows Gholizadeh being an absolute magician with his passes. Definitely MOTM imo

he fked up a golden chance early in the match, by hesitating to chip the much advancing keeper for a simple goal and waiting too long to pass it to Sardar and the pace of the pass was also too slow, thats why sardar had to curl the shot in order to get it passed the retrieving defender, hence missing that shot..!

We need to find our first 11 players, overall i liked some things but i dont like that Iran is beeing dominated by teams who are clearly lower if you compare player to player, same for iraq, we are always dominated by iraq even though we clearly (!!!!!) have the better players.

You are right it was going wide, he should've let it go out but what I don't understand is when he decided to go for it, why didn't he go to grab it with both hands? He could've got both hands on it. During the first half there was a direct shot at goal and he double punched it back to the mid-field.

For all of us who have been watching gholizadeh play this season, this wasnt surprising at all.

As you saw, his energy with and without the ball, his pressing, and his fantastic vision and runs make him easily the most dangerous man on the pitch for us.

Taremi looked a little heavy with his touches today but still got us an important goal.

Azmoun wasted a few chances and played a little nonchalantly but he did end up scoring a really nice goal.

I am impressed by shoja. He actually has very good pace to recover and does a good job of pushing attackers wide and away from the box.

Kannani was solid as well and they've been playing together so they have some chemistry.


Hajsafi, Nemati, Niazmand

All horrible and should be out of tm lineup completely. Hajsafi should retire and apply for a job at NASA because he clearly has his head in the stars and not on the pitch.

Nourollahi was OK but I think mostly fatigued. He showed his quality with that really nice pass to taremi.

Amiri was bad but I think he just played way too much recently.

gholizadeh is good but ghoddos is much better than him, he can bring the ball faster his pace is better also

Ghoddos is a turtle compared to gholizadeh.

Ghoddos brings better shooting and also a very good passer of the ball, but gholizadeh is by far better pushing the ball forward and is probably our only player who can easily beat his man.

There was a small fan contingent allowed in the stadium. However, they clearly didn't care about social distancing and crammed them all in the same section (while the rest of the stadium sat empty)

i dont agree because ghoddos trained in sweden and has a better foundation , i like his style of play
