I don't agree with the exclusion of Ezatolahi and Ebrahimi who are clearly our two best central midfielders. The same goes for Rezaeian who's our best right back and Ansarifard being an experienced and versatile footballer who's place is in TM as well.

Also, Saeid Aghaei should've been in the list. Other than the absence of the five players i mentioned it is a good list. As long as TM is getting results you won't hear me complaining. I just hope that Skocic (like Queiroz) is a pragmatic coach. That's the key to succes in my opinion.

I think all five players you listed will eventually be back or get a chance again. This is a semi-experimental list as well.

I don't want to bring it back up as I felt sorry for him but it was not this. He had sent a photo of his private parts to an IG 'model' who shared and posted it, it got viral and there were rumors that he's been banned for life from TM. He would have been included otherwise based on his form in my opinion.

I'm not a fan of Shoja but he has been doing more than enough lately
For Noorafkan I think he's going to be used as a left back... if not you're right he didn't deserve a call up

Shoja was incredible last night and has been in amazing form in the past few months, if anything he's getting his chance later than he deserved. at 31 he doesn't exactly have the longest future for TM but definitely more than merits his call up.

He is a talented player. There is no denying that, but I'm worried about his behaviour. Fights and argues a lot.

I agree with both you guys. Shoja indeed has been the most consistent and effective defenders of our football for sure. The guy not only defends with all his heart, but the side scores quite a lot and beautifully for a defender lol. LOL seriously he is a great scorer too.

Having said that I certainly do agree with The, that his temperament is quite worrisome and can be costly. In our domestic league those kind of behavior may be tolerated to some extent. However with TM and in crucial do-or-die games, he can be a huge liability. He has anger issue, and needs anger management trainings with experts.

Otherwise, at least for the remainder of our important WCQ matches he is dearly and badly needed. The Shoja-Kanani duo seems to work wonderfully!

100%. My guess is that Gholami is replacing the injured Pouraliganji, Nemati is not so bad, definitely below Vouria and Ramin but also a few years younger than both. With Ashkan, Omid & Shojaei's omission, it looks like Skocic is trying to build a younger team.

PAG cannot join bc of chinese covid restrictions so he had to invite somebody. Salimi hasnt played for a couple months and anyways is getting visa to go seal euro transfer so wouldnt be able to join team.

Cbs options when all are available will be : PAG, Majid, Kanaani, Shoja, Salimi as the main guys and then Gholami and Aghasi as younger options that would probably have a hard time breaking into those squad places.

Ghafouri got a bad hamstring injury in last ACL game and was subbed off. He is literally not available for selection. So the options were between esmailifar and nemati for backup RB.

Initially I thought that Skocic is trying to basically send a message that any QSL players wont be selected but as we see with torabi not being able to join squad for QSL covid precautions, that might not be the case. Skocic was probably told ramin, omid, mehrdad mohammadi could not even attend, and thought since torabi only signed a week ago and hadnt trained yet he could, but even that turned out not be possible.

Given these explanations I think the list is fairly reasonable.
