not really. I think they thought he could get fitness up with games in league but the intensity was a bit too high for him. Considering he didnt play for 6 months that is not really unexpected. Now they are trying to ease him in with more fitness work, playing for u23 if he doesnt play for main team to work on fitness.Originally posted by Ab-Gosht View Postshocking twist of events though as he went from starting XI to bench and then to u23 team!
Championship intensity requires a higher standard of fitness to be effective than what he currently has. Thats why we often saw him lagging behind attack bc he knew he could not get in and around box and contribute like his usual self AND return on defense. Seemed way less explosive in general too.

That’s a good way of putting it in words..!
Let’s just hope this move is not beginning of a downward spiral of sorts ..!?🤪 though that would seem like like an extreme negative outlook on the matter & at least FTB it looks more to be a case of expediting his fitness & re-intro into the main playing squad..!

I think this is great news. He scored a goal and showed what he can do from distance against a credible opponent and he got to build up his fitness. I am not going to make it mean anything else. I think there is a tendency in our forum to look at the negative side all the time. That's fine and that is actually required for a balanced forum but not all the time.
Go Saman!
