Little to choose between the sides, loving the crap-talk between Adam Smith and Canos and Toney. They seem to be cussing each other's mother at every opportunity they get within a metre of each other

I don't expect to see much of Ghoddos barring an injury.

Canos came off for Fosu about 10 mins back, game is still 1-1.

First sub for Brentford, no Saman yet.

Mbuemo creating a goal out of nothing for sub Fosu to tuck away. Canos or an injury to Mbuemo is Ghoddos' only route to the XI.

Fosu is ahead of him on the left wing position too.

Came on in the 88th min. Had two good involvements, played a nice ball to Toney who then played through Jensen who nearly scored.

Then at the end nice link up play with Toney, worked the ball well on to his left foot but shot straight at Begovic from outside the box.

Fosu doesn't seem to have much about him beside pure running (and fortunate positioning not overly concerned about him.

Ghoddos on for last 5, 1 nice pass to set up a 2v1 and one solid shot on target from range. That'll do. More importantly, big 3 points.

Awesome win for Brentford. Saman was only in for 4 minutes yet made significant contributions and almost scored in addition to starting another chance that should have been the third goal. It tells you a lot about the confidence and trust that the coach has in Saman to send him in at such a critical time of such a crucial match. It also shows that coach believes in his defensive acumen. Things couldn't be better for him and TM when Saman is fit and confident. He keeps making progress.

                    Go Saman!

                      Very nice cameo for saman.

He had a great pass (made it look way easier than it was bc canos fucked up 6 of those today) that released toney on counter who played in arriving mid. Should have ended in goal.

Then a nice move he started initially and followed through with, toney with a great backheel and forced save from GK.

I think he can definitely find a spot in xi, canos is nothing special, nor is fosu, when his fitness improves. They got through a ton of running in this game so I see why he doesnt start.

Expecting him to start either at the weekend or vs spurs in Cup semi! (at wembley!?)

What a match. It was hotly contested. Toney and Smith were going at it all game long. The last 5 minutes looked like it could lead to a red card situation for many. This was an EPL match through and through. So much more fun to watch than the BHA games.

Brentford now #2 in Championship after leapfroging Bournemouth. They are 3 points behind Norwich City. Swansea and Bournemouth have a game in hand, so possible they can overtake Brentford, but this was definitely the defining match for promotion spot jockeying.

Brentford have an "easier" match this Saturday at home against Bristol City. Hope to see more of Saman then.

^ I rather see him start against Tottenham next Tuesday. I am fine with 20 minutes against Bristol City.

                          Go Saman!

This dude's a baller. Saman is in good hands with Frank and this team, and will have to elevate his game to make the starting line up consistently.

^ I see a lot of positive in this cancelation. Brentford will have more rest and training time for the Carabao Cup semifinal match vs Tottenham on Tuesday 1/5/20.

                                Go Saman!
